Plattekill Press is the new publisher in town, aspiring to produce quality books about economics, politics, and geography, as well as other social science topics (e.g., evolutionary psychology, race & gender relations). Our intended audience is educated laymen, though we will consider academic books.
Books we would love to have published include The Conservatarian Manifesto by Charles C.W. Cooke, Money: The Unauthorized Biography by Felix Martin, or How the States Got Their Shapes by Mark Stein. Those address audiences we are looking to reach. We also welcome political works from a Left perspective.
Our initial offering is Your Future Job: Building a Career in the New Normal, which is a cross between a self-help book and an economics text. It is being marketed to college students and their parents. Our current project is a book tentatively entitled The Geography of New York State.
We are not interested in fiction. And also not history or religion, unless related to one of the above topics.

Plattekill Press derives its name from the location of our international headquarters, the Town of Plattekill, New York. Our windows look out over an apple orchard, a pond, and the Shawangunk Ridge. Driving to our offices, as you top the brow of the hill, on a clear day you’ll have a spectacular view of the Catskill Mountains, represented symbolically by our logo.
